I found this week's discussion to be very interesting
because bullying has become a major issue all over the world. I believe that
everyone can relate to the personal reflection part of the discussion either
directly or indirectly and contribute their own experiences to the subject. I
read many of our classmates' responses to the personal reflection. Reading
about other people's experiences opened my eyes to the subject in a new way.
Learning about other people's real-world example of bullying made me realize
even more how relevant bullying is, whether it be in elementary school, middle
school, or high school. I also read many of our classmate's responses for part
two which brought many people to state that they believe school should
implement anti-bullying programs. I agree with these responses because the
research that I read explained that anti-bullying programs are very effective
and that there are various ways that they can be implemented in schools. One
common way that many schools inform their students about bullying is through
assemblies. Another way is through anti-bullying programs that are policy and
higher discipline measures. Many of our classmates had similar responses for
part three in regards to cyber bullying. Many children and teenagers find it
easier to bully others when they are behind their cell phone or computer and I
believe that parents need to monitor their children's use of social media.
