Week 7 Post 2

This week's discussion post discussed morality and moral development.   I like the discussion questions that force us to think about our childhood.  When we are asked questions about our personal experiences, it allows us to relate to the subject more easily than if we were asked strictly educational questions.  For me, it was difficult for me to think of a time that I had to make a moral decision when I was a child.  I have specific memories of my childhood and none of which I could think of a moral decision I made.  I had to discuss with my mom different situations of my childhood and she reminded me of when I got in trouble at recess.  When she said that situation, I immediately thought of the decision I had to make.  I like being able to think back on my childhood and think about my decisions and actions.  I normally don't think about my moral development but the discussion post forced me to.  It is important to learn about moral development and how parents and mentors are able to shape children's moral development.  It is a learning step for college students to learn about because eventually, we will have children and need to learn about how to help them mold positive morals and values.
