Week 6 post 2

In the beginning of the chapter it talk about emotional balance. It explained without adequate regulation emotions may be overpowering. Some people have externalizing problems, that is difficulty with emotional regulation that involves expressing powerful feelings through uncontrolled physical or verbal outburst, as by lashing out at other people or breaking things. I remember in elementary school there was another student who would often yell and act out during classes. He would also get very upset over very simple task. I remember vividly one time he got so upset that he picked up a desk and attempted to throw it across the room, and all of the student and I were removed from the class room and I am not sure what was done to clam the child. In the next couple years going into middle school he still had some self-control problems but they never came to him throwing a desk again. Though I never really understood what really was going on, but after reading this part of the chapter it helped me understand part of his emotional thinking. I believe that he had externalizing problems.
