In our text this week we discussed Emotional Balanced. They say that girls develop emotional regulation before boys do. I think this is interesting, when you think of girls you generally think of an emotional roller coaster. I feel like girls are much more quick to react in emotion than boys are. Do you believe that maybe it changes as we age? That boys then become quicker developing emotional regulation even though girls start developing it first? Also in this section it says that girls are more likely to develop depression. Which also got me wondering, is this because girls are more willing to express their emotions and tell others how they feel? Do you believe boys could also be suffering with depression and we just don't know because they just don't tell you?
I would really love to hear if anyone had any thoughts on any of these questions.
