In this weeks discussion board we watched the movie from PBS Growing Up Online. I watched the whole movie just for the reason it was really interesting. The case of Kevin was about a young boy who was bullied online and eventually killed himself. I am not sure who these bullies are, but I just wonder how they are feeling for the fact that they pushed Kevin to his breaking point and made him commit suicide. When watching this part of the movie I was just so astonished that children act this way on the internet. I feel like the children who was doing to bullying should feel horrible. They made someone so upset that he wanted to kill himself.
In another part of the video it talked about this young girl named Jessica Hunter. At age 14 Jessica was so unhappy with herself that she made up another person online named Autumn Edows. It was just so interesting that Jessica made a whole new life of herself online, and her parents had no idea. It was also really interesting how Jessica took pictures of herself, and the pictures that was shown in the video she did not look like a 14 year old girl. This video just shows how technology has grown over the last decade.
