Like discuss in my discussion my parent’s parenting style
was authoritative. My grandparents had many rules but some were negotiable.
They set boundaries for me and themselves. At the time I thought they were very
strict and wouldn’t let me do the things that I wanted to do. Now that I am
older I realize that they had their reasons for not letting me do certain
things. They knew what things were right for me to do and what was not right.
If I did do the half of the things I wanted to do at the time I probably wouldn’t
be where I am now. When I have kids I will raise my children the same way.
