Week 2: Post 1
One thing that I found interesting in chapter two was the fact the Freud believe that new stages did not occur in the adult years. He rather believed that adult personalities and habits were influenced by earlier stages. I believe in part of that statement. Yes habits and personalities are definitely influenced by earlier stages. I mean for example for me my parents taught me a lot of lesson as a child and I still use those things. Though in the last couple years I have definitely matured and developed into a young adult. Some examples that was used in the book was that smoking cigarettes is a oral stage from infancy. I know a lot of people who would smoke but quite no problem at all.
