Week 11 Post 1

I found it really interesting reading about post formal thought in this week's chapter. One topic focused on in post formal thought was time management. I thought this was really interesting, especially since the age group we're learning about it very close to my age. It says that in adulthood conclusions and consequences matter, in order to set priorities  that includes postponing some tasks so you can accomplish others. One example of this they gave us was how in college, we are given our assignments for the whole semester all at once, instead of as you go like they did in high school. This really was interesting to me because one of the most challenging things for me to get used to as a college student was the professor not reminding us of what assignments were due and when we should have read things in our book by. As we grow older and our prefrontal cortex matures we're able to start planning ahead better. This just really is interesting to me to because now as I take a step back I am able to see in which ways that I'm starting to mature and how my decision making has evolved. It's cool being able to relate this information to our real lives.
