Week 14 Post 2

Everyone is a part of a social convoy, in which a group of people provide each other with a protective layer of social relations to guide, encourage and socialize each other as they go through life.  A consequential stranger is defined as a person who is not in another person's social convoy but has an impact.  Consequential strangers can be a person's hair dresser if they get their hair done regularly or the cashier at the store you go to everyday.  You may not even know these peoples' names and are complete strangers but still have an impact on your life.  Now that we have the internet, more consequential strangers have been added to other adults lives.  The concept of consequential strangers is interesting to me.  It shows how every person in the world has an effect on each person they interact with.  Being nice to someone in the grocery line could make their day.  Being rude or mean to someone could be their last straw and lead them to make a terrible decision to end their life.  Point is that you don't know what other people are going through so spread love and happiness in your every day life and be the type of consequential stranger you would want others to be to you.
