week 11

One of the things that I found interesting is dialectical thought. Dialectical thought is making a possible an ongoing awareness of pros and cons, advantage and disadvantages. There are three stages to the Dialectal thought: thesis, antithesis and synthesis.  The first stage is called a thesis which can be defined as a statement of belief. Antithesis is the second stage, on the other hand opposes the thesis. The third stage is synthesis which incorporates both thesis and antithesis. I learned that ideas always initiate their opposites which change continues throughout dialectical thought. Dialectical thinking involves the constant integration of beliefs and experiences with all the contradictions and problems in life. They used broken marriages as an example of dialectical thought. A non-dialectical a thinker may think that end of a relationship is due to the fault of the other or the relationships were a mistake and should have never happen. A dialectical thinker on the other hand sees people and relationships constantly change and with change one must adapt to the change. Each person of the relationship develops dialectical thinking and a new synthesis is developed to fit personal needs and others needs as well. I found myself as a dialectical thinker versus a non-dialectal thinker I believe that people and relationships change over time.
